Professional Instruction

At Anne Fattal's Footnotes, we take the time and effort to provide each student with a great deal of personal attention and professional instruction, creating a fine education in the performing arts.

Our teaching staff brings years of professional and academic experience, as well as creativity and a commitment to excellence to all our students.

ANNE FATTAL-DIRECTOR:
From student to performer, then on to choreographer and teacher, Anne Fattal brings to her students a dynamic and enthusiastic approach. Her commitment to excellence combined with her creativity, provide for a disciplined yet warm atmosphere for the study of dance and the related arts.

A graduate of Montclair State College receiving her Bachelors of Arts in Dance/Speech & Theatre, she also holds a New Jersey Teachers Certificate. She has taught at the School of Performing Arts, Montclair High School; The Academy of Dance Arts, Red Bank; and the Community School of the Arts, of the Madison YMCA; utilizing her diverse talents in tap, jazz, ballet, and children's techniques.

Anne's choreography and performing credits include Spring Dance Festivals at Montclair State College and her own concert, "Reach For The Movement". She has performed off-Broadway with Andrew Janetti & Dancers, a New York based modern dance company and has professionally choreographed productions of "Grease", "Annie Get Your Gun", "The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas", "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum", and many other musicals as well as dinner theatre and videos for cable TV. Anne has also choreographed for the Chatham Middle School as well as for the Chatham High School productions of "Grease", "Anything Goes", "The Music Man", "Once Upon A Mattress", "Bye Bye Birdie", "Little Shop of Horrors", "South Pacific", "Wonderful Town" and "Guys and Dolls". She has worked with the Madison Public Schools as a guest artist for their Project Choice Gifted and Talented Symposium in addition to providing dance workshops to all 5th grade classes as part of the district arts curriculum. Anne has choreographed "Carnival", "The Boyfriend", "South Pacific", "Fiddler on the Roof", "Kiss Me Kate", "The Music Man", "Carousel", "Once Upon A Mattress", "Sound of Music", "My Favorite Year", "The King And I", "Seussical", the 50th Anniversary production of "42nd Street", and "Sweeney Todd" for Madison High School. She also co-choreographed the Jerry Gibson Theater's 25th Anniversary production of "Hello Dolly" as well as "West Side Story".

The 2011-2012 season marks 23 years of dedication to the art of dance. Under her direction, Anne Fattal's Footnotes takes much time and effort to present each student with a great deal of individual attention, creating a fine dance education.
